Dopo il grande successo ottenuto da Roberto Saviano al Festival Letterario Metropolis Bleu, arriva a Montreal Domenico Starnone per raccontare con l’acume di sempre la sua Napoli e la sua Italia.
Passato dall’insegnamento al giornalismo con L’ Unità e Il Manifesto, dalla letteratura alla sceneggiatura cinematografica con “Del perduto amore” di Michele Placido e “Tutto l’amore che c’è” di Sergio Rubini, rimane nel cuore di tutti per i libri che raccontano la scuola vista attraverso gli occhi ed i pensieri dei professori e degli studenti, tradotti anche in greco, francese e tedesco. Ha scritto tra il 1993 ed il 1994 l’introduzione a Cuore di De Amicis e a Le ultime lettere di Jacopo Ortis di Ugo Foscolo ed è un riferimento per molti giovani registi e sceneggiatori che trovano nel suo lavoro un’inesauribile fonte d’ispirazione.

Metropolis Bleu ha finora accolto più di 1000 autori e oltre 40.000 persone hanno contribuito al crescente successo dell’ evento. Nel 2007 ha riunito in cinque giorni circa trecento autori, traduttori, musicisti , giornalisti ed editori di tutto il mondo che hanno dato vita ad una fitta serie d’incontri letterari in diverse lingue, in particolare francese, inglese e spagnolo.

DOMENICO STARNONE

Après le grand succès obtenu par le Festival Metropolis Bleu avec la venue de Roberto Saviano, Metropolis Blue et l’Institut Culturel Italien sont heureux d’accueillir Domenico Starnone.

L’éclectique écrivain napolitain, qui est passé de l’enseignement au journalisme et de la littérature à l’écriture de scénarios pour le cinéma (Del perduto amore dirigé par Michele Placido et Tutto l’amore che c’è dirigé par Sergio Rubini), a écrit beaucoup de livres satyriques sur le monde des écoles vues par des professeurs et des étudiants. Ses oeuvres ont été traduites en grecque, en français et en allemand. Il a écrit l’introduction de Cuore de De Amicis (1993) et de Le Ultime lettere di Jacopo Ortis de Ugo Foscolo (1994).

En outre, nombres de jeunes réalisateurs et metteurs en scène ont choisi les recits de Starnone comme point de départ à leurs propres productions cinématographiques. Starnone a aussi travaillé en taut que journaliste pour les quotidiens: L’Unità et Il Manifesto.

Depuis la création de Metropolis Bleu, plus de 1000 auteurs et plus de 40 000 festivaliers ont participé aux événements Metropolis bleu. En 2007, Metropolis bleu a rassemblé pendant 5 jours près de 300 auteurs, traducteurs, musiciens, journalistes et éditeurs venus du monde entier pour plus d’activités littéraires diverses en plusieurs langues, notamment en français, en anglais et en espagnol.

ORGOGLIO DI CRESCENTINO

Solo lei che prova un’attrazione personale per i temi e i colori dell’America Latina può spiegare cosa la spinga a creare opere “così belle”.

Parliamo di Maria Giulia Alemanno, fresca vincitrice del concorso mondiale che si è tenuto a Buenos Aires intitolato “Feria Internacional de Arte Mar del Sur” con il suo dipinto intitolato Ochun. Questa vittoria le permetterà di partecipare ad un’altra competizione in terra d’Argentina e all’esposizione che si terrà al Museo delle Americhe di Miami, negli Stati Uniti.

Il suo percorso è partito dalle risaie di Crescentino ed è arrivato a Cuba poco meno di dieci anni fa, dopo essere stata assistente del celeberrimo pittore torinese Francesco Tabusso. Nella terra di Che Guevara, Alemanno ha iniziato le sue ricerche sulla cultura locale che l’hanno portata a conoscere la Santeria Cubana, che altro non è che la religione sincretica di origini africane e che gli schiavi hanno adattato per necessità a quella cattolica. Da lì ha iniziato a dipingere, soprattutto sulla tela dei sacchi, le divinità così come sono tramandate oralmente dalla tradizione locale, tanto da essere adottata subito dai cubani. Le sue opere sono state presentate in svariate città tra le quali Roma e Terni.

Ma le sue tele non si imperniano solamente sulle divinità cubane, anzi. “I miei quadri sono un mix di realismo e magia con forti tratti simbolici” descrive l’autrice che svela come le sue opere siano il frutto di una contaminazione tra la tradizione cubana e quella piemontese. Una contaminazione fruttifera che arricchisce entrambi

gli aspetti. La sua ricerca nella cultura e nella tradizione cubana continua ancora ora, tant’è che segue e tiene lezioni di antropologia. La sua vicinanza alla cultura caraibica l’ha portata a scoprire fantastiche amicizie, tra le quali è impossibile non citare quella che lei ricorda con più affetto: con Alberto Granado, lo storico amico del Che, che più volte ha soggiornato a Crescentino, proprio presso l’abitazione di Maria Giulia Alemanno.

Condiciones generales

La convocatoria a la Exposición Arte Contemporáneo Internacional en el Museum of the Americas esta abierta a artistas plásticos de cualquier nacionalidad.

La técnica y el tema de la obra es LIBRE

La medida UNICA es de 60 x 80 cm., la obra que exceda este tamaño no será aceptada.

La obra deberá enviarse ENRROLLADA para economizar costos de traslados. Si la técnica de la obra no lo permitiera, esta deberá ser enviada lista para colgar, respetando siempre las medidas de 60 x 80 cm. El costo del traslado de la obra es a cargo del artista.

El coordinador de exposiciones proveerá bastidores de 60 x 80 cm para el montaje de la obra.

Cualquier deterioro que pueda sufrir la obra en el traslado y exposición será responsabilidad del artista.

La fecha prevista para la recepción de la obra es del 29 de JUNIO al 3 de JULIO del 2009 debiéndose cumplir estrictamente, las obras presentadas fuera de la fecha no serán aceptadas.

La fecha para el retiro de las obras es el 27 y 28 de JULIO en la misma dirección del Museo. Cualquier deterioro que pueda sufrir la obra en el traslado y exposición será responsabilidad del artista.

El museo tiene a cargo :

1- confección y distribución de invitaciones al publico en general

2- invitaciones exclusivas a la inauguración para artistas participantes y prensa

3- distribución y colgado de obras en la sala

4- Brindis inauguración

5- Catalogo con imagen de la obra de todos los participantes

6- Difusión en medios de prensa escritos

El coordinador de exposiciones tiene a cargo:

1- Seleccion de artistas participantes

2- Recepción de las contribuciones

3- Recepción de obras en el museo y posterior envío

4- Proveer bastidores para las obras

5- Armado y desarmado de las obras

6- Contacto artista-comprador si hubiera algún interesado en adquirir su obra, sin comisión alguna.

7- Envío de diplomas de participación, catálogos y recortes de prensa a cada participante

La contribución fijada por artista es de 250 dólares ( 200 euros) por cada obra, pudiendo participar con un máximo de 2 obras.

Recién completado el cupo mínimo de artistas expositores, usted recibirá un mail autorizándolo al envío de la contribución que realizara a través de una transferencia por Western Union.

The technique and the subject of the work are FREE.
There will be a UNIQUE size of 60 x 80 cm., the work exceeding this size will not be accepted.
The work should be sent ROLLED UP in order to save transportation costs. If the work technique would not allow it, it should be sent ready to be hung, always respecting the size 60 x 80 cm. The transportation cost of the work is in charge of the artist.
The show coordinator will provide frames of 60 x 80 cm to mount the work. Any work damage during transportation or showing will be responsibility of the artist.
The date to receive the work is as from JUNE 29 to JULY 3, 2009 and it must be strictly obeyed. The works not presented within this time will not be accepted.

The contribution per artist is 250 American Dollars (200 Euros) per work, being the artist able to participate with a maximum of 2 works.
