International Women Mail Art-2011

On behalf of “KASAB”, I would like to invite you to participate in International Women Mail Art-2011. On March 8th, 2011 we will open the one week exhibition in the local Gallery of Ahmedabad. The theme of the exhibition will be

International Women’s Day- 100 Years of History

and postcards should respect this theme or participant can use their own interpretation. We would encourage the participation of not only women artists but also women’s groups and individuals with a desire to celebrate this important day.

BY ENTERING YOUR ARTWORK IN THIS EXHIBITION YOU AGREE TO THE TERMS OF USE.

Deadline for submissions : 14/02/2011

This project is open for everyone to join but we encourage mail artists to participate in the first place because they would give a kick-start to this

International Women Mail Art-2011.

At the completion of the exhibition all postcards will remain in the possession of the KASAB as part of our archive.

Mail art must contain on the reverse the artist’s full name, nationality, address, email address and web site if one exists.

The artwork on the postcard can be either horizontal or vertical.

Submissions via e-mail will not be accepted as this is envisaged as a physical postal postcard art project.

All mailing costs will be borne by participants.

No jury, no fee and no returns.

Please no nudity, overly religious artwork, racist or pornographic art. Submission must be original work created by you.
